Em sua edição de nº 57, arevista Filme Cultura traz como dossiê temático o “sangue latino” do cinema brasileiro. Nomes como Eric Nepomuceno, Orlando Senna, Denilson Lopes, Andrea França, Arthur Autran e muitos outros assinam artigos sobre o teor de latinidade do nosso cinema e suas relações com as demais cinematografias latino-americanas. Em foco, a maneira como esses traços se manifestam na dramaturgia dos filmes, nas relações da indústria e do mercado, nos paralelos entre movimentos históricos, na convergência de projetos autorais e de pendores técnicos. Aborda ainda a forma como costumamos representar nossos vizinhos e como somos vistos por eles.
Além desse dossiê, a revista publica também críticas de filmes, perfis biográficos, resenhas de livros e outros assuntos relacionados ao cinema brasileiro.
A Filme Cultura é uma publicação do Minc/CTAv (Centro Técnico Audiovisual) em parceria com a Associação de Amigos do CTAv, com patrocínio da Petrobras pela Lei Rouanet.
De importância histórica, a revista começou a ser editada em 1966, pelo Instituto Nacional de Cinema. Circulou até 1988 e foi retomada em 2010, durante a gestão de Gustavo Dahl no CTAv. Atualmente, sai em periodicidade trimestral e pode ser consultada também online no endereço www.filmecultura.org.br, que reúne ainda conteúdo exclusivo da versão eletrônica.
